Messrs N. Corah Ltd of Bolton, are expecting to increase the number of employees by 150 during 1968, Local Director Mr. R. A. Wessel told the ‘South Yorkshire Times” this week.

A target of 500 employees has been set for the end of this year, but Mr. Wessel added that whether this figure will be reached depended on favourable Government measures.

Work would also carry on in utilising the original building to maximum capacity. This would be taken up mainly by the existing men’s and children’s underwear department. The women’s underwear section will be greatly expanded as a result of the increased floor space.

The training area is working at full capacity with 60 women and girls. Girls leaving school at Easter and Summer will have jobs awaiting for them at Corah’s, and the Company are also attracting women in the late ‘teens and early twenties.
