In the second round of the Yorkshire Schools competition. Bolton-on-Dearne Senior School (the holders) defeated Kilnhurst Council School 3-1 at Bolton on Dearne yesterday.

Aided by the strong kicking of Walker, who has been chosen to represent England against Ireland at Belfast during the Easter holidays, the Bolton forwards harassed the Kilnhurst defence and Skelton scored two smart goats. Chaplin scored the third goal when the hall struck the upright and glanced into the net.

Kilnhurst were seen to advantage after the interval, and Shaw reduced the deficit when Exton failed to hold the spinning hall
