Woman Killed In Car and Bus Collision

As a result of a collision between a motorcar and a motor bus at Hale, near Altrincham yesterday afternoon, Mrs Susanna Fitzpatrick (50) of Ladycroft, Bolton on Dearne, one of the occupants of the car, sustained several injuries to the head, and died later in Altrincham General Hospital.

The driver of the car, Cecil Middleton Mason, of Wrightson Ave, Walmsley, Doncaster, and Mrs Lillian Hall, daughter of Mrs Fitzpatrick, and her four-month-old baby were not seriously hurt, or and were able to leave the hospital after receiving attention.

The bus was only slightly damaged, and none of the passengers received injuries.

The accident happened across the road and the car, which overturned, was completely wrecked.
