on Saturday at Doncaster James Jennings of Wombwell; Thomas Ansbrough of Hemingfield; and Michael Byrne of Bolton on Dearne was summoned for game was coined by “tossing,” at Bolton on Dearne.

Police constable Drury proved the case, stating that the offence was committed on the previous Sunday afternoon, the defendants being in the company of about 50 others, who were trying to conceal themselves behind a hedge.

They were watched by himself and police constable Sowray for half an hour.

When the officer approached the party decamped.
