Soldiers – Cleary Brothers – Killed in Action and Invalided

Pte. James Cleary (Y. and L.), (picture, right) son of Mrs. J. Cleary, 57 Ingsfield Lane, Bolton-on-Dearne, was killed in action on April 26.

He had been serving since November, 1914, and had been three times wounded.

He was single, aged 22, and before enlistment was employed at Wath Main.

His brother, Pte. A. G.  Cleary (R.D.C.) (picture left) aged 20, single, was invalided home some time ago, after serving with the Salonica Force eighteen months, and is now stationed in Ireland.

He also was formerly employed at Wath Main.
