Not Forgiven For Third Offence.

John William Deakin (38), a miner, of Mexborough Road, Bolton-on-Dearne, who was charged Rotherham West. Riding Court, yesterday, with having embezzled 1s. 5d. from his Sunday employer at Swinton. There were two similar charges relating to 2d and 6d.

Eliza Rutter, newsagent, Wath Road, Swinton, said that the defendant was employed by her to take out Sunday papers. September 30th he did not return with the money. It was the third time he had been wrong with the money, but she had forgiven him the two previous occasions, and he had promised to repay her.

He was fined £5 and £1 costs.
