New Chairman – Probably Youngest Councillor

Mr. David Griffiths, who has been appointed chairman of the Bolton Urban Council is probably the youngest Councillor to hold such a position.

He is only 32. He is a native of Goldthorpe and is employed as a miner at Hickleton Main.

He has been a member of the Bolton Council for five years and is a vice-chairman of the Goldthorpe branch of the British Legion.
