Touch of the old Ludlam

LNER 51                                                Bolton 54 for 6

the L.N.E.R. batsmen were no match at Hexthorpe on Saturday with Jimmy Ludlam (picture) , who broke a spell of non-success with a performers more like his form of a year or so ago.

He took seven wickets 90 runs. Arthur Carr took the other 3 for 8 runs.

Bolton altered the usual batting order in the face of small total and the result was disquieting.
