Lecture on Milk

A lecture on “The Milk and Dairies Order as it affects the producer,” arranged by the sanitary committee of the Bolton Urban District Council in conjunction with the Yorkshire Council for agricultural education, was given in the car need you Free Library on Monday evening by Mr Jim McGregor, BSC, NDA, and DD, lecturer in dairy husbandry at the Leeds University.

Members of the Council and 40 milk producers and retailers attended, and that this was a lecture a number of questions were submitted to Mr MacGregor.

Councillor Horn presided, and a vote of thanks to the lecturer was proposed by Councillor Barker (Chairman of the Council) and seconded by Councillor Petty.

The attendance and interest taken in the lecture was so great that the Sanitary Committee have been encouraged to make arrangements for further lecture on Milk Production.
