Dearne MW.beats Doncaster Town by seven wickets at Doncaster on Saturday in the South Riding League. Scores were Doncaster Town 179 for 9 Dearne M.W. 180 for 3

Principal individual scorers for Doncaster Town were C. Smith 83 not out and P. Hodgkinson 39, and for Dearne M.W. were E. Winch 76 not out, 0. Smith 54, and W. Corby 28 not out.

Best bowling performances for Dearne M.W. were by S. Hobson 3 for 31 (nine overs), H. Dungworth 2 for 35 (seven overs) and for Doncaster Town were by J. Lockwood 2 for 20 (seven overs), K. Owen 1 for 38 (eight overs).

Dearne beat Doncaster Town quite convincingly by seven wickets. The Doncaster Town No. 1 batsmen, C. Smith, hit an undefeated 83 which included nine fours.
