Miss Susan Doreen Meek (17), twin daughter of Mr and Mrs Harry Meek, 23, The Green, Bolton has been awarded the final Diploma of the National Institute for Housecraft (Employment and Training).

A former student at Dearneside Modern School, Miss Meek became a student at the Boston Manor Training Centre Brentford, in September 1965 where she obtained a Diploma Part One.

In April 1966, she transferred to Springfield School, Horseforth, to complete her training. Miss Meek favours Institutional work in preference to private employment, and she hopes to become an assistant House Mother at a Children’s Home after attaining the age of 18
