Degree Success

Mr. Jack Pearce, a former Mexborough boy, received the Doctor of Philosophy degree at Liverpool University last Friday.

Mr. Pearce, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Pearce, of 66, Broadwater, Bolton, did research in biochemistry after gaining a Bachelor of Science degree at Liverpool in 1964.

A former pupil of Doncaster Road Junior, Bolton Junior and Wath Grammar Schools, he is at present living in Belfast, doing research into avian nutrition at Queen’s University.

Mr. Pearce was married in August to an Irish girl.
