William Robinson a member of Bolton Council School cricket team, which has had such a successful season, on Saturday played for Yorkshire boys in the match against Lancashire at Morley, when the home county won by 67 runs getting Lancashire out for 63 after they had knocked up 130.

Robinson who went in at the fall of the ninth wicket, scored 4 not out and during the Lancashire innings took a catch.

He came into prominence by scoring 83 for Dearne Valley in the match with Morley in the first round of the Yorkshire Cricket Competition.  On that occasion he was associated with Shaw, who scored 75 in a fourth wicket stand which realised 156 runs.

He is also a member of the Bolton School football team.
