The wedding of Miss Gertrude Emma Simpson, Alperton, Middlesex, formerly of Bolton-on-Dearne, and Mr. Edward George Scott, youngest son of Mrs. S. Scott, Bridge House, Southall, Middlesex, took place at Heston, Middlesex, on Saturday.
Miss Simpson left Bolton six years ago to take up nursing at Southall Fever Hospital. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Smith of Wath Road, Bolton-on-Dearne.
The Rev. G. Craggs officiated at the ceremony, and the bride, who was given away by her father, wore white satin and carried cream roses and white carnations. She was attended by Misses Lilly Simpson (sister) and Betty and Lucy Manley (nieces of the bridegroom), who wore green floral silk and lace caps to match.
The best man was Mr. W. C. Manley, brother-in-law of bridegroom.
