Trials With Huddersfield.
Three local players had trials with Huddersfield Town yesterday when they net Preston Reserves, at Preston. The players were
F. C. Taylor, the clever inside left of Thurnscoe Victoria, who is 17 years of age and has played for Dearne Valley Boys and Yorkshire Boys;
Joseph Riley, (picture) the prolific scoring centre forward of Conisborough welfare;
and A Hill who has played for Edlington welfare, Bolton Albion, Conisborough Welfare and is now with Methley Perseverance, the “nursery” club to Huddersfield. He has also played with Mexborough, York and Tottenham Hotspur reserves.
Local football followers will hope these three players give creditable displays
