Injured In Normandy
Trooper Kenneth Rock R.A.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Rock, of 91, Furlong Road, joined the Forces two years ago and is in a South Wales hospital having had both legs fractured in Normandy.
After receiving his wounds, he was in France for three days and then was brought to Wales. Mr. and Mrs. Rock have just arrived from South Wales from a visit to their son and found him making good progress.
Before enlistment Tpr. Rock was apprenticed to a gas fitter at the Wath, Bolton and Thurnscoe Gas Works. He is an old boy of Bolton Council Schools.
