Baptism Of Fire
Gnr. Terence Webster, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Webster, of 117, Furlong Road, Bolton, although he only joined the Royal Navy on June 14th, 1943, has already been in action. It was the thrill of his life.
Gnr. Webster is in H.M.S. Enterprise, and took part in the recent engagement in the Bay of Biscay. He writes home: “It just shows them who has the best navy. We let them see what we are made of.”
Gnr. Webster is a plasterer by trade, and is a Bolton School scholar. He will be 19 next April.
