Modern Schools Praised
In the secondary modem schools you can get fine spirit, sense of style and tone, as in the far older foundations of the secondary grammar school tvpe,” said Mr. David R. Hardman. M.P., Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Education, speaking to-day at the first prize day the Bolton-on-Dearne (South Yorkshire) Girls’ Secondary Modem School.
This country, said Mr. Hardman, can no longer afford to give the mass of its children second best in education.
He continued: “We have failed to perpetuate spiritual sanity. I am asking that in our schools the religion of Christ should made a reality and corporate worship something living and vital.”
