A new village hall is being erected at Barnburgh.

Barnburgh has no post master, and although the vacancy has been announced for several weeks there are no applications for this position.

Two sad fatality occurred in the district this week, namely at Swinton and Wath. At the former place a nine-year-old boy was knocked down and killed by a tramcar, whilst at Wath a seven-year-old boy was run over and killed by a motorcar.
