The photograph is of Richard Wright (Frederick Street, Goldthorpe), 17 year old Hickleton youth club goalkeeper.

An old boy of Bolton modern school and Mexborough technical College, he started his football career with the College, later joining Bolton Ings Lane F.C..

He was signed as an amateur by Huddersfield town in August 1948.

He has already played several games in the Yorkshire League and one in the Central league
