Goldthorpe Couple Will Be Watching For Their Son
Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Rowley., 17 Lockwood St, Goldthorpe will be watching the television of the Coronation with an especial interest for they will be hoping to catch sight of their only son H. A. C. Trevor Rowley, who is taking part in the band of northern bomber command on the great day. Trevor has been in the R.A.F. for 16 months and is a National Serviceman.
Before joining the forces he worked as an apprentice painter and played in the Barnsley Salvation Arm Band, to which he hopes to return after demobilisation.
Stationed at R.A.F. Scampton, Lincolnshire, Trevor is an air frame mechanic and has enjoyed a week’s trip to Tripoli.
“I’m not worried about going to the Coronation myself,” said Rowley, “but I am hoping we shall get a glimpse of Trevor on television. Trevor attended Bolton modern School.
