Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Noah Teesdale, of 5, Prospect Road, Bolton, will celebrate their Golden Wedding on August 13th.
The ceremony took place at the West Parade Wesleyan Chapel, Wakefield, in 1892.
Mr. Teesdale is a native of Rosedale Abbey, Pickering. North Yorkshire, and Mrs. Teesdale hails from Okehampton, North Devon.
Mr. Teesdale has led an active and useful life and up to his retirement six years ago was on the official staff of Manvers Main Colliery, and now at the age of 72 is a member of the Special Constabulary in Bolton and also a member of the Salvation Army at Goldthorpe, in which he still takes an active part.
For faithful services to Special Constabulary he was presented with a long service medal in 1924. He also found time to be interested in public welfare in the Cleveland district and when a resident there he was a member of the Skelton and Brotton U.D.C. and Board of Guardians and belonged to the miners’ executive
