Gambling at Conisborough

Joseph Finch, James Edward, of Conisborough; Thomas Hill and Arthur Swain, Denaby, were charged with gaming with coins on the footpath between Conisborough and Mr Kilner’s glassworks, and money was seen passing between them, an officer watching for the space of 10 minutes.

Fined 10s , including costs

Withdrawal from Conisborough

Charles Brown, Carter, Conisborough, was charged with having assaulted James House, labourer, Conisborough.

The defendant did not appear, and the complainant apply for the case to be withdrawn which was accordingly done.
