George Wilson, a labouring man from the neighbourhood of Howarth, in this county, who had gone to shear at the above place died of the hydrophobia at New Grange, near Bolton upon Dearne.
He had been bitten by a mad dog about 10 weeks before, and had taken a pretended remedy given by an old woman in his neighbourhood.
He was taken ill on Wednesday about noon and languished until Friday evening, when he expired in the greatest agony.
