Co-Operation at Bolton.
The foundation stone of a co-operative store was laid Mr. Edwin Haywood, Barnsley. The building is connected with the Barnsley Co-operative Society, and has cost about £700.
There was a large attendance the ceremony. Tea afterwards provided in the Board school and was followed by a meeting addressed Messrs. Fairclough (president) and Elliott.
A presentation was made to Mr. Haywood, Mr. Robinson, of Wombwell, the architect. The directors the Barnsley Society have been repeatedly waited upon by a deputation who have urged the desirability of at stores Bolton, owing to the inconvenience of their having to journey Swinton,
