Keen Fights for Alliance Trophies.

Only two matches were played in the s this econd round of the Alliance Cup, but these provided keen games.

At Bolton-on- Dearne, Sheepbridge Works were defeated 4—2 after a strenuous struggle.

Both teams played excellent football, and it was one of the best games seen at Bolton for some time.

The goal-scorers were Finney (2), Hardwick, and Braithwaite, for Bolton; McGuire and Thorley for Sheepbridge
