Mr. Frank Rowlands, author of seven pantomimes performed by the children of the Parish Church, was at one time a booking clerk at Bolton-on-Dearne station and from there was moved to Leeds.

Mr. Rowland has had a good amount of experience of “stagecraft.” Before coming to Goldthorpe he ran a concert party at Driffield and later was leader of the York Rosa Variety Entertainers, who gave over 200 shows for York district charities. At Goldthorpe he was a member of the Church Players and the Operatic Society. But he turned his hand to writing pantomimes and the seven he has produced at Goldthorpe are “Cinderella,” “Babes in the Wood,” “Dick Whittington,” “Robinson Crusoe,” “Memories,” “Jack and the Beanstalk,” and now “Aladdin.”

His Robinson Crusoe is being produced at St. Paul’s, Southampton, this month and “Jack and the Beanstalk” at Arksey next month,
