Mr. Harold R. Diggins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Diggins of 41, Dearne Road, Bolton, has gained his commission as Pilot Officer in the R.A.F. P/O Diggins has received the special award of a wrist watch for coming out as leading pupil.
He has received his training in Canada and was educated at Bolton Council School and Wath Grammar School.
