Unnatural Offence

Hy. and Mary Ann Spatman, husband and wife, belonging to Mexborough, were charged with stealing a pawn ticket, the property of William Hawksworth, of Conisborough, on the 2nd inst. The ticket was missed out of a drawer in the prosecutor’s house, and shortly afterwards it was found that the male prisoner had been to the pawnbroker, and got the ring the ticket represented.

The female prisoner was discharged, but her husband, who pleaded guilty, was sent to prison for a month.

Wm. Searle, of Bolton, charged with committing an unnatural offence at Bolton, on the 15th instant, was committed to take his trial at the Assizes.
