Fatal Accident at Hickleton Main
Mr. Wm. Patrick (49), of 53, Hope Avenue, a deputy at Hickleton Main Colliery, who recently met with a fatal accident there, started work at Hickleton as a boy, and had never been away except for three years during the Great War, when he served with the West Yorkshire Regiment as a sergeant.
Deputies of the colliery were bearers. Other officials, numbering over 40 attended. The funeral took place at Bolton, following a service in the Doncaster Road Methodist Church, the Rev. N. Kedward officiating.
A memorial service was held in the church last Sunday. There were numerous wreaths, including some from officials and the Colliery Company.
