Serving in Africa

This photograph comes from British West Africa and will be of interest to many in and, around Bolton, to whom Pte. John Freil is known.

He joined the R.A.M.C. in November, 1940.

He is the son of Mrs. Freil, and the late Mr. J. P. Freil, of Lowfield Lane, Bolton. In a letter to his mother recently, which included the photograph, Pte. Freil said he was quite well and happy.

He was educated at Bolton Council Schools. Pte. Freil is 27  and has been in Africa since October, 1941.
