Drunk in a Trap
William Peak Moore, butcher, Bolton-on-Dearne, was charged with having been drunk with a horse and trap at Adwick-on-Dearne, on December 22nd.
Inspector Barrett found defendant at Dearne junction driving at a very fast rate, and encouraging the pony to a great pace by numerous oaths
P.c. Drury found defendant some hours later in his own yard drunk
Defendant’s wife said it was the family that had to suffer, and not the man.
Fined 20s and costs.
